Pros
The Miami Herald is a great place for young journalists to learn the ropes and get reporting experience.
Cons
The compensation is terrible considering other media companies in the industry. The newspaper is very disorganized and is still trying to work on its digital transformation. It's also not a family-friendly company because it does not provide parental leave.

Pros
Miami, South Florida for that matter, is one of the best places to be in Florida for news. Always something to report on. Editors are experienced and will always offer help.
Cons
Low morale. Many reporters preach daily about the "end days" and complain a lot.
