    Pros

Very cool technology and there were many smart individuals coming from other Silicon Valley high tech industries such as semiconductor and hard-disk.

    Cons

Company over-promised on going IPO and salary was below industry average.

    I worked at Miasole full-time

    Pros

None after spending more than 3 times the relocation funds they paid for me to move here I got laid off,

    Cons

Relocated me here and they had a stock review and was ordered to lay off 35% due to illegal stock trade

    Advice to Management

    None just lab work

I have been working at Miasole (Less than a year)

    Pros

Nice people. No one was condescending.

    Cons

Seemed inefficient at times w. its administration. Old office building. No lunch community, ie everyone eats at their desk or runs off to get lunch elsewhere. Old-style company culture, I hope it changes soon.

I have been working at Miasole full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Innovative company. Very good product and manufacturing equipment. Flexible solar panels are needed and could be very profitable. Great people! Nice benefits

    Cons

No real direction or goals to achieve. All stated goals are vague and change almost daily. This confuses teams and makes deliverables late or non existent.

    Advice to Management

Set realistic manufacturing goals and stick to them. Make product consistently and on schedule. Turn your collection of equipment into a real factory not an engineering lab

I worked at Miasole full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great colleagues, everyone makes you feel welcomed when you first start. I started there in December 2014 and by the end of Jan 2015 I felt like an old timer. They are working on some cool things here.

    Cons

The biggest draw back is that Miasole is owned by Hanergy and they are essentially at the mercy of whatever Hanergy demands. Because of Hanergy's chairman, Miasole was forced to layoff 33% of its work force in September.

    Advice to Management

Executives are weak. They do not have a PV background, they are really there to take orders from Hanergy execs. Really the best advice would be replace everyone on top and start again with a new vision.

I have been working at Miasole full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

good technology; great people; good pay and benefits. great future gone sour quickly.

    Cons

It is a sinking ship. Don't waste your time here. Start bailing. Bad management /mismanagement by parent company, Hanergy's Chairman. We were doing well in 2014 and it started to crash in Q2 2015. We were crazy busy then it came to screeching halt due to lack of funding. We just had a layoff. I'm not busy with work anymore but busy looking for another job.

    Advice to Management

Get off the boat. Its a sinking ship. Nothing you do will help save it...it's only a matter of time. Your credibility with the employees is nil.

I have been working at Miasole full-time

    Pros

Friendly, smart people; casual work environment (but they still work hard); innovative spirit; convenient location in Santa Clara

    Cons

CEO communicates nothing. I've been here six months, but there have been no all-hands/company meetings of any kind. Funding has been suspended by the parent company in China. Outlook is bleak.

    Advice to Management

Communicate more with the employees. Encourage all-hands meetings by the CEO to address concerns of funding, layoffs, etc.
