Milwaukee office associates and partners lack of life experience outside of Wisconsin; little diversity;
RecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Some partners are interested in developing associates.
Cons
- Feels like a high school environment; firm lacks a connection to the real world; most associates and partners live in a bubble of privilege with no interest in acknowledging this, which makes it unwelcoming for anyone from a broader life experience or different background. - Innovation needed in firm culture to continue to attract and retain young talent.

Pros
The firm has plenty of complex corporate/transactional, tax, and comp/benefits work from client, and allows associates to gain hands-on experience with all such work.
Cons
Lock-step compensation is slightly below “big law” market comp, but is made up for with lower billable requirements and high bonus potentials.
- Former Employee, more than 3 years★★★★★
Pros
Get to draft patent applications early in your career, good salary for very young employees looking to get into patent prosecution
Cons
Partners fully rely on you for everything technology related, even for their own clients. Many trying to dish off work without looking at it and get out the door. Good firm if you are planning to lateral after working for a couple of years as you do get great experience, but in the long term only makes sense if you have very few other options.
- Current Employee, more than 8 years★★★★★
Pros
Takes good care of employees. Benefits and pay are good.
Cons
Lack of direction, management. More work added every year. Little room for advancement.
- Former Employee, more than 1 year★★★★★
Pros
They treat attorneys very well.
Cons
I have never seen anywhere with such fast staff turn around and after working there I completely understand why. There is no regard toward staff, no room for advancement, low pay, and extremely poor management. If you are not a manager or an attorney your voice will not be heard and no respect will be received.
