I worked at Michael Foods full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Decent pay and it isn't particularly difficult for the most part. Station change every hour or so which helps time go by faster.

    Cons

If you work the 3rd shift you need to know Spanish or you will have a difficult time learning exactly what to do.

    Advice to Management

3rd shift needs more English speakers. It's difficult to learn how to take apart machinery when no one you work with can speak English.

I worked at Michael Foods full-time

    Pros

Great pay, plenty of overtime if thats what you want.

    Cons

Cold working place for most of the positions. The HR department doesn't understand people besides themselves have problems going on in they're life as well.

    Advice to Management

Fire the one's that don't care and hire some true people that actually care for they're employees.

I worked at Michael Foods full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Wellness initiatives and community giving are important to Michael Foods. The people are nice.

    Cons

I worked for less than 6 months in the corporate office into a newly created position. The job description I applied to wasn't close to what I ended up doing. My manager was rarely in the office, having little time to train me. I didn't even get a tour on the first day, and had to sit in someone else's office the entire time because mine hadn't been set up yet. They use multiple systems that, not only take forever to get access to, they make it hard to keep information organized. All decisions needed to go through Post Holdings, and they dragged their feet on everything.

There is no flexibility in certain departments for those with young families. If you're not at your desk until 5pm, you're looked at as a slacker, even if you come in early and work after hours and weekends.

    Advice to Management

Hire leaders into management roles, not just managers looking out for their own good.
