I have been working at Michigan Medicine full-time

    Pros

The corporate culture is calm and respectful. Manager is hands on and PI is very personable. Extremely fulfilling work.

    Cons

The salary is below average nationwide when their annual endowment and amount of grants they receive could easily increase wages.

    Advice to Management

Pay your employees fairly and you won't see as high of a turn around. The work is intriguing and the corporate culture is nice.

I have been working at Michigan Medicine full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great atmosphere and opportunities. Prestigious place to work in Healthcare. Benefits are awesome.

    Cons

Can be overly bureaucratic and slow-moving, particularly when it comes to HR.

    Advice to Management

(this may be specific to my overall area) Give outside candidates more of a chance. Hiring from within is great, but it seems to be taken too far here.

    Pros

    Benefits, Retirement, competitive pay

    Cons

Management acts like a dictatorship, in our clinic they do not allow nursing at the table to discuss changes or new policies etc. It's more becoming about money and budget rather than medical advancements or patient care
