    Pros

    Sales territories are not crowded. Lots of income opportunity. Strong product portfolio to sell.

    Cons

    New back office system had glitches with roll out - but seem to be getting better

    Slow down leadership changes.

    Pros

    Freedom to run my own part of the business. I am not micro managed. I work with excellent people, flexible working conditions

    Cons

    401 K match sub par, customer base needs to be stabilized and grow, Sales is a revolving door adding to complexity of managing accounts.

    Advice to Management

    Make focus to stabilize accounts, invest in product development allowing for cleaner and consistent software installation and use. Clean up documentation and make user license portal easier and more consistent to use.

    Pros

    cool portfolio. very comprehensive. Great work life balance. You cannot ask for more.

    Cons

    people are not treated well, as a result , good talents leave. cut backs every where. benefits are not that great. Medical has plans with huge deductibles. management so new to their job that they do not know what they are doing with heads full of egos. TONS of favoritism and some racism internally to promote only buddies who are like one another. there is NO culture. it is just all about numbers and profits.CEO... just want to get his stock option, not interested in people who actually do the job. He really does not know anything about managing a company, Very poor execution so far.

    Think about people as they are part of the company. stop having "Profits" as your number one and most important goal.

    I worked at Serena Software which was acquired by Microfocus. The workflow technology was great - state of the art.

    Stable and fair company with solid benefits. Well managed

    Cons

    Stale product relies too heavily on revenue from compliance. Sterile work environment. Quotas are based on wants of management not any market driven growth

    Pros

    Some of the long-timers are great. I mean, truly great people. They will do anything and everything to ensure mutual success.

    Cons

    Average benefits. Below average compensation. Workforce too small to support all the initiatives and programs the company offers. MicroFocus management is TERRIBLE, has no vision or sense of value of the company they acquired. Executive leadership is solely focused on bottom line, really shows no appreciation for employees.

    Advice to Management

    lower management is excellent, they get it. upper management is concerned with either politics, status, or making their own numbers. they could use a lesson in how to treat people from their competitors.

    Pros

    The general approach to everything is team. From investment of personal time to resources; people are always willing to help.

    Cons

    Sometimes too much responsibility is given to one person for a whole area of focus. Such as Marketing. A company of this size could do with having a specific person supporting each product set or brand. Instead, one person supports all products thus limiting the time and attention needed to see a brand prosper in the competitive market space.

    Thanks for taking care of your employees, this truly is a great company to work for!
