    Pros

Employees are top notch. Great working environments in most departments, but there are exceptions. If you get in with the correct group, you will have a fantastic work experience.

    Cons

Management has lost much of their focus and no longer care about their employees like they used to. Since Steve Appleton died there doesn't appear to be anyone to champion the employees' cause.

    Advice to Management

Remember that the workers are the resource that makes you money and stop putting all your money saving tasks, like reduced benefits and wages, on their backs.

I worked at Micron Technology full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Top-notch technical talent and a lot of behind-the-scenes innovation. The Crucial Memory division is successful in spite of the corporate connections.

    Cons

The worst senior management team I have ever been involved with. Duplicitous behavior is the norm, and that trickles down through mid-management and the rest of the workforce.

    Advice to Management

Step into this century folks. Theory X management might have worked on production lines during the Industrial Revolution, but has no place with knowledge workers in the 21st Century.

    Pros

Provides most of the resources needed to do your job, great place for research and development. Also, very good benefits and occasional bonuses.

    Cons

This is the only place to work in Boise for hardware related IC research and development. Smaller town and the office is a few miles away from downtown.

I have been working at Micron Technology full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

You can work a lot of over-time, never mandatory. You can come to work from 5-6 as long as you stay your 12h night/day shift. Very good supervisors, people oriented.

    Cons

Promotions are very hard. They look only numbers of jobs are completed. Learning is not encouraged. Pushing buttons-yes.
