I worked at Microsoft full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great company to work for. Microsoft offered competitive salaries as well as very interesting and challenging work.

    Cons

Lots of continuous management restructuring. Sometimes it is hard to keep a boss long enough to even built a proper report.

    Advice to Management

Microsoft needs to embrace new technologies and stop being tied so tightly to it's own stack. Microsoft is trying very hard to gain relevance in many areas, but at some point it becomes restricting to be pushed into using only Microsoft products during development.

I worked at Microsoft (More than a year)

    Pros

Employee centric with very good benefits compare to many large tech companies
Ability to play with new Microsoft gear and be part of the process
Many market segments to gain different experiences as each team operates differently
Very good training opportunities outside of Microsoft technology domain

    Cons

Only can use Microsoft technology in designs if solution exist
Very large company means layoffs have nothing to do with you personally

    Advice to Management

Stop being middle managers and get technical, many of you are losing your skills.
Because you don't have skills and you don't trust your employees views which makes your roadmaps either too easy or have no relevance to product creation.
