    Pros

    Good leadership from the sales organization. Great benefits and the time off package give you flexibility to have a great work/life balance

    Cons

    Nothing that I can think of yet but I am a new employee so still in the honeymoon phase. I am sure things will come up eventually

    Pros

    Working for Microsoft is a fantastic career opportunity. It will truly open doors for a future career. Focused on diversity and inclusion. They are invested in your development of technical acumen. You are at the forefront of cloud driven technological innovations.

    Cons

    Internal tools is not a focus, and there is a lack of metrics for a data driven company. It is a huge company and it can sometimes be difficult to locate resources.

    Advice to Management

    I love my management.

    Smart and talented people to work with.
    Front of technology and devices.
    Variety of work.
    Pay scale above average.
    Great benefits - take full advantage.
    Great 401K matching - most I've ever seen.

    Cons

    Everything going in so many directions, can be hard to stay focused before something changes and you have to adapt.
    Big learning curve to get up to speed on company and culture, while managing your job.

    Scorecards are important, but they aren't everything.

    Pros

    Great opportunities to hold a satisfying job that also provides a very comfortable living. Dependent upon the role you have it can be very dynamic and always present new challenges, allowing growth in your work. The number of creative and intelligent people who are very active outside of work is another plus. The company, management and coworkers are extremely supportive of outside interests people have and it offers a very hands-off approach to your work, allowing you to get projects done without someone peering over your shoulder. Cross-team and organizational collaboration is very common and helps in networking and simply maintaining a social environment.

    Cons

    Most teams offer little training to the role itself and it is often your fellow colleagues who will provide the most help getting you onboarded. Can be easy to get pigeon holed into a role so there are times when you may need to take a chance to break out and expand your skill sets to advance. Even so, self-improvement is very much supported here.

    Advice to Management

    To upper management - give more support to your lower level managers so they have more time for their employees. Managers and workers alike are stretched too thin to fully support our projects and customer. Align divisions better so collaboration increases. Too often one division will make a change that adversely affects another, and while they want competition, collaboration is also a form of motivation and creativity.

    Pros

    Great culture, people and environment to work, continuous learning with awesome technology. Microsoft do what we say and say what we do. Very collaborative and supportive. Really enjoy and love working for Microsoft.
     Management is supportive and encouraging.

    Cons

    Small concern - lots of travel to see clients for meetings, etc. Can be a bit tiring but Microsoft compensate with good approach in working from home when required , great policy to help us have a good life balance as best as we can.

    Advice to Management

    Continue doing what you are doing. Training, awareness and regular townhalls are very informative and always keep us engaged, interested and connected. Keep up the great work.

    Transforming slowly. Every process is too global, so very little space for autonomy & experimentation. Fear of failure is huge in the culture, this has also effect on innovative thinking ...

    Encourage failure in controlled areas to increase innovation as a culture. Too many global processes and reporting lines may have a negative effect on creativity and out of the box thinking capabilities ...
