I have been working at Microsoft full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Company culture is very supportive and the sales message is that the technology transforms productivity, collaboration and participation. Pretty cool.

    Cons

As with any rewarding role it is equally demanding. There is a lot to keep up with.

    Advice to Management

None, they really try in earnest to give us the tools we need and to make our lives easier as we focus on our goals.

I have been working at Microsoft full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

over all culture and company is good

    Cons

NY Metro is worst place to work. Its RACIST white man club .. if you are anything else treated like POS.

    Advice to Management

Cleanup and don't just talk of about diversity (Lip Service) but show some spine and get rid of CSU racist culture. It begins with the Senior manager

I have been working at Microsoft part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

It's an amazing company to work for and put on your resume, and well as makes you feel so proud to be there and part of a huge picture.

    Cons

They aren't as great with development, and you're surrounded with people that are getting paid to do nothing while you are pulling all the weight. But that happens anywhere you work.

I have been working at Microsoft full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Benefits are second only to amazon and google. Other companies in other industries do not come close with benefits. Excellent vision , mindset and leadership from the CEO Satya Nadella.

    Cons

In the field, for sales and services it is really all about hitting your numbers vs what the CEO says the bison is, which is being customer obsessed. Forcing customers to buy what you need them to buy to hit your sales numbers to get paid is not being customer obsessed it’s being obsessed with making money short term.

    Advice to Management

Make sure your corporate sales leaders are thinking long term vs making a buck this quarter to keep the street happy.
