I have been working at Microsoft as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Microsoft Research has many brilliant researchers, great technologies and innovative ideas; you can learn a lot. The culture here is also great, people are willing to help each other and share their thoughts.

    Cons

Microsoft is too large; hence a lot of time is spent on communication between groups. And since too many smart researchers are here, it would be little harder to get promoted.

I worked at Microsoft full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Lots of great people, lots of great ideas, lots of wonderful parties, and tons of fun!

    Cons

Sometimes projects don't go very well. More guidance needs to be given to new joinees on when to persist and when to walk away.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the fun!
