Interesting projects nice people, Washigton is a very good place to live.

I worked at Microsoft as an intern

    Pros

They give you a coding mentor who will help you when you're stuck on a problem.
They provide lots of opportunities to network with your higher ups.
They give out an Intern gift every year, usually one of their latest products (like the Surface Pro).
They increment your hourly wage each time you come back as an intern.

    Cons

You're expected to do a lot of self learning as your mentor will likely be very busy with his/her own projects.

I have been working at Microsoft as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

It is a world biggest IT company, everyone like working there. You can make a lot of friends there, and enjoy the working environment there!

    Cons

They have all the smartest people there, you have to compete with them and that will be the hardest thing I think if you want to work there.

    Advice to Management

    more money, more fun

I worked at Microsoft as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

    -learned quickly
-experienced all 3 disciplines--PM, SDE, SDET
-Microsoft pampers interns well--especially explore interns
-exposed to company, so no need to ramp up if/when you return next summer

    Cons

Microsoft is undergoing a lot of reorganization internally. SDET is not a very stable role in some teams, and they are moving towards combined engineering, so things can be a bit weird in the company during this transition period.
