I have been working at Microvision full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

It feels like you are working with family, everybody knows what is going on at everybody's lives.

    Cons

Not easy to grow up in the company. Manager is not qualified for the position. Some employees work hard and some don't even do anything.

    Advice to Management

The company has to change manager.

I worked at Microvision full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The company holds lots of IP that could revolutionize the man machine interface. This is the main asset of the company.

    Cons

The leadership is not staffed for success and is evident by its 20 year record. At one point the company had significant capital to develop, deploy and support the goal to become a viable commercial company for the consumer electronics market, but sadly today they are just barely hanging on with a constant need for capital infusion.

    Advice to Management

Once you fire experts in their respective fields you need to let the functional teams to make the company successful or least complete their plans till they fail. Terminating teams before they complete a given plan is not only fruitless, but ultimately fails the shareholders.

    Pros

cool technology, decent pay, cool coworkers. Fun time working on new technology. Free drinks, small cafe.Overall, its a pretty decent job.

    Cons

too much work, extra time not compensated. poor communication among teams. busy all year round, no taking it easy time. lots of deadlines.

    Advice to Management

More free time, less tightly bound schedules, more communication would really make microvision a good place to work for everyday.
