I have been working at Mid America Clinical Laboratories full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    The pay is above average

    Cons

Horrible communication, bad organization of departments, weak leadership, 2 ancient computer systems, below par laboratory practices...

I worked at Mid America Clinical Laboratories (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Co workers are usually great

    Cons

EVERYTHING ELSE...overworked and under paid and more importantly in appreciated....long story short worked for years doing my duties as well as others for xx.xx amount went for one position to two others (called promotions) only to still have to do more for less than other less qualified personal. Got offered a position at a competitor for $3 more than they were paying me for a lower position (a demotion) but told them (MACL) i would stay for just $1 more than what i was already being paid and rhey said they couldn't do it. I'm glad they didn't cause now after only 6 months at the new place I'm getting another raise/ merit increase (+$2 more/hr) halfway toward the annual yearly wage increase so thanks MACL for letting a good one get away as usual.

    Advice to Management

Show some appreciation toward your hardworking employees and try to keep them to build a stronger unit of technical professionals to ensure quality customer service. And realize you can't do ALL the jobs and tasks even on the lab assistant level on your own, a lot of your employees seen first hand that you can't so show some respect to them all.

New leashed vehicles on a regular basis. AND A GAS CARD. Very excellent training for Bio-hazard handling and safety.

    Cons

most positions are 2nd shift due to the nature of the business. of taking care of Doctors and Hospitals for their patients tests.

    Advice to Management

    Please include uniform stipend

I have been working at Mid America Clinical Laboratories full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Co workers are great and l am proud to tell people where I work. The work keeps me active and fit.

    Cons

Low pay considering daily exposure to hazardous/deadly body fluids. Very few options to transfer or advance career.

    Advice to Management

To the owner- Don't believe everything that your higher ups tell you. They will lie to cover themselves. Having a bonus program and having it based on employee performance would motivate your employees rather then a one size fits all.

Salary is competitive and an overall good place to gain experience and knowledge of the field and how to cope.

    Cons

Not much understanding from management. Lab acquisitions can be very stressful to employees. Made to feel like a number instead of needed

    Advice to Management

    Listen to concerns from employees
