    Pros

You have the ability to go your own way and you're given the leeway to do whatever you deem necessary, as long as satisfying the client, comes first. You're allow to make mistakes and errors, but in other companies, you're not always alloted that opportunity.

    Cons

Sometimes the "Middleburg Way" is the long way around. Internal processes can be a bit taxing.

    Advice to Management

They've already taken the advice of streamlining processes to make it easier on employees that work for clients.

I have been working at Middleburg Financial part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

PTO is decent, sales goals are reasonable which makes the annual bonus decent, coworkers on at branch level make the day to day decent, warm atmosphere

    Cons

Low potential for promotion, laborious internal processes, poor interdepartmental communication, upper management undervalues employees, low increases, mediocre training, potential shift toward "big bank" practices which alienates employees and clients

    Advice to Management

Listen to the people who see your clients everyday.

  6. "Client Service Representative"

    Pros

Easy job, mindless, sales experience, really easy interview with three different people (manager, assistant manager, and HR manager), nice people to work with, decent PTO

    Cons

There is a lot of dramatic encounters that are unnecessary between coworkers. There is also lack of positive leadership that fixes these issues. A lot of negativity.

    Advice to Management

My advice would be to get rid of the drama and have the regional manager be a little more involved in the issues.

    Pros

Company offers a great PTO package, 401K, pension plan, and benefits. Lots of mutual respect between co-workers.

    Cons

There is a major disconnect between upper management and employees. Leadership doesn't value employees opinions or ideas. There is no consideration for work-life style balance.

    Advice to Management

Realize your employees are your biggest asset and have valuable opinions and ideas that can help the company grow and improve the culture. If you hear constructive critisism, listen to it and don't take it personally.
