I have been working at Middough full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Middough is a nice company. They try to retain maximum possible number of people during down times. I like the idea of working as team share from other offices based upon workload.

    Cons

Mid sized engineering company. At times we end up having no work at office.

I worked at Middough full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good benefits, great salary and overall decent working environment.

    Cons

Poor work flow & management (overhead) heavy.

    Advice to Management

Really enjoyed my time as an employee there but the current state of the NJ office seems pretty dire. Hire business development people that can actually produce work in-house and get the office back to where it needs to be!

I worked at Middough full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Some staff were friendly. But that's about it for the pros.

    Cons

HR- A completely laughable department. They care about no one but themselves. They turn and burn staff like it's no big deal. HR is supposed to be a support for the employees; they were neither human nor resourceful. The HR team is unfriendly, judgemental, and honestly just rude.
This office could scare anyone into an entirely new career choice.

    Advice to Management

Do your job. Maybe even with a smile. Include new team members. Let them feel welcome. Even if you are just going to fire them 3 months later.

I worked at Middough (More than a year)

    Pros

Offered opportunity to be involved in Projects that interested me.

    Cons

To much individualism between design groups created problems with design/approval flow.

    Advice to Management

Become more professional. To much each group doing their own thing. Not a cohesive organization.

I worked at Middough (More than 5 years)

    Pros

if you want a basic job with basic benefits this will provide that. They are hands off so you can create your own position, or manage your time however you see fit. Vacation time is usually not a problem unless it coincides with major work schedules. If you don't mind the status quo and milking your job, hanging out to retirement, no changes...this is a good fit .

    Cons

No way to improve or move up in position. Usually you are where you are. Management has the tendency to overlook you since they don't really care what /how you are doing. This environment promotes underachievers since they are making out whether you evolve or not.

    Advice to Management

Become leaders not managers. that is a big difference to an employee. Reward your good workers not promote your golf buddies. Your job merits should be based off your performance, hard work and overall work capabilities.

    Pros

Great Benefits and the jobs that are in house when we are busy are very challenging.

    Cons

They have trouble keeping their employees happy taking away holidays and the 401K programs

    Advice to Management

    Keep employees happy

I worked at Middough full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good work and good people. Enjoyed working there during the little over a year I was there. Left due to excessive travel from DE and back home weekly.

    Cons

Senior management needs to allow experienced people to do their work and be accountable for what results. Way too much "helicopter parenting" all the way to the top....it was suffocating me and coming from many places without giving reason to do so!

    Advice to Management

Eliminate the con and you have a great engineering company!

I have been working at Middough full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great variety of projects. Very close-knit group of professionals, good group to work with. Nice offices.

    Cons

Some of the procedures are antiquated. Company needs rejuvenation. Too many PM's

    Advice to Management

Get people from all levels involved to keep up with current trends in the industry and to keep on the cutting edge. Hire more younger talent and develop on-the-job training. Diversify your client base and the markets you work in.

    I worked at Middough full-time

    Pros

Good place to learn about the consulting industry. Some autonomy on projects. Coworkers are nice and willing to help teach less experienced engineers.

    Cons

Company is more interested in pinching pennies than retaining talent. Benefits are overall lacking. The IT software overlords make simple tasks a giant pain. Company culture is lacking.

    Advice to Management

Find A way to show employee appreciation through improved benefits.
