I worked at Midwest Development Corporation full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The culture is the best part about the company. Everyone is fun and outgoing. This company made me feel like I was part of a team from day 1 and was unlike anywhere I had ever worked. There are a lot of travel opportunities and advancement for anyone with a good work ethic. The only reason I left the company was because of a personal health issue.

    Cons

Not the simple 9-5 easy job. This career path will take a lot more effort than most people are willing to put in so if you're lazy apply somewhere else.

    Advice to Management

Keep working hard and hiring great people.

  2. "Dishonest in interview process. It is a door to door sales position for AT&T and Direct TV."

    Doesn't Recommend

I worked at Midwest Development Corporation full-time for less than a year

    Pros

If you like to work long hours where once you are trained you train others to make money for upper management than this is for you. You can make enough to pay bills, but rarely go solo unless requested. If you want to be a door to door sales than this is a job for you.

    Cons

Dishonest in interview process about hours worked, compensation, and about actual position. Show up to half the day in business attire and train on your sales pitch. The second half of the day is walking around neighborhoods and knocking on doors. Not the most ethical selling strategies are taught.

I worked at Midwest Development Corporation full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The work environment is fun and the people are so positive and supportive of your success. All the training tools are basically handed to you and you're taught to run your own business. There is plenty of room for growth within the company and they tend to promote pretty quickly. I liked that the company was small and the CEO, Kristina, was involved in everything. But at the same time, she let people do their own...

    Cons

I was recruited through an online job site. I asked a million questions during my initial phone interview and my face-to-face interview as to what I would specifically be doing in my role as an Account Executive, since the information on their website and job posting description for the position are both very general. Each answer was also a very general response as to how the company ran and the kind of attitude and...

They inspire you to have an entrepreneurial mindset and motivate you for the future.

    Pros

very nice people, co workers become friends, and you learn some sales skills

    Cons

the pay structure is very low compared to other jobs, door to door sales, long hours/no work/life balance, and very repetitive work. Expect a lot of no's and rude people!!! This kind of job is not for people that have prior sales experience. You are better off trying to find a salary job with a more well known company. You can not make a living out of this job. It takes a long time (if at all) to move up in the ranks...

    Advice to Management

Pay people fairly instead of only commission. Also, I suggest having a work/life balance for employees. Many people on Friday evenings and Saturdays do not want to get a knock on their door from people asking to sell them something.
