    Pros

There are plenty of different dealers to choose from with MileOne.

    Cons

Management lies to your face and then talks about you to fellow employees. The company doesn't care about your personal life or finances. You're forced to work to the bone without much compensation. You're expected to go above and beyond for the customer only to find out that the management will throw you under the bus when given the opportunity. It's very much like a high school, where there's gossip and secrets. You'll never be able to get a straight answer from anyone about anything. When it comes to a "friend" of the Faders, the whole building goes insane. All they want to do is brown nose to the owners. Longtime customers are run out the door, technicians and writers are broken down until they have nothing left, and parts departments are a joke. There is absolutely no communication between anyone. The only notice of a change you'll be given is from word of mouth. I've seen many good technicians, writers, etc go out the door because MileOne can't make up their mind. An awful company to work for in any capacity.

It's a very "Beatings will continue until morale improves" atmosphere.

Do yourself a favor and avoid at all costs!

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees. Appreciate the hard work and effort they put forth to make you look good. Don't degrade them and threaten them. Keep your new house options to yourself. Some of us are barely getting by with the scraps you give us. A poor management will lead to poor employees.

    Pros

none at all unless you are buddies with management or you have proven track record with a franchise dealership stay far away from this place for your own sanity

    Cons

There's way too much high school petty typical corporate office politics buddy buddy cliches & will not be given the proper resources to be successful they will keep you in the dark about vital information a lot of egotistical power driven people they will have you call 20+ dead leads a day and expecting different results with the same approach which is pere insanity

    Advice to Management

sales managers & upper management need to learn how to listen to their sales staff & learn to take responsibility for the role the play in situations & learn the definition of teamwork and helping your sales consultants be successful

    Pros

There weren't any - truly there were / are NONE

    Cons

This list could be exhaustive, but suffice it to say - Working for this company is medieval. Many Many employees are jumping ship to the privately owned non corporate dealerships after years and years of service in their respective stores that have recently been gobbled up by MileOne. No one is happy,, tenured employees NOR new ones. Just read all the negative reviews and compare them to the positive ones -- do they scales seem unbalanced. Well there ya go! - The hours are a grind, the pay structure and commission plans are unrealistic and it's a churn and burn.

    Advice to Management

Employees are not treated well and this translates into a negative customer experience. Examine that! - These are not hard concepts, treat your workforce better, pay them a respectable earning and realize that work life balance and the demand for it by your staff will NOT go away. If you continue to dismiss this need people will leave you!.. OH WAIT; you have ignored it AND people ARE leaving. - Time the light bulb comes on MileOne,, flip the switch !

I worked at MileOne Automotive full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Just benefits that's it nothing else really, very big company with 75 dealerships across a few states has been in the mid Atlantic area for a very long time

    Cons

If you are new to the car business they treat you like absolute garbage, they have you go on DX's and pick up cars for senior salesmen and if you don't have the information that the sales tower needs they make you go back and forth with the customer until you have the information and the sales managers will lynch you if you are not good at closing or if they have to get out from behind the tower to close the deal. The leads that you get if you are not in with their little click are crap and sometimes will even give you fake leads basically if you are not in with their click they don't care about you. If you can work somewhere else please do there are better places than MileOne

    Advice to Management

Take care of your sales people, coach and mentor the salespeople that are new to the automobile industry and car sales this is not being done!!!! Do not send new sales people to go get cars leave them on the Sales floor so they can learn and be successful if they are not selling cars sit down with them and be a human being mentor and coach them so they will know how to be successful. Put in managers that are real leaders and will get out from behind the sales tower and help their employees succeed.

    Pros

I have none to say due to this company and job.

    Cons

Lousy pay, certain employees work more than five days a week, alot of favoritism to certain employees, techs and advisors will talk about you befhind your back. Very nasty managers, igornant service advisors, some are arrogant. Very stressful job, alot of stupid you have to put up with. Upon being hired I was told I would have Saturdays off and eventually promoted to service advisors, what a total lie I have to work six days a week and they treat you like low life employee trash.

    Advice to Management

Improve your attitudes towards employees, give bonuses/breaks to employees, don't make employees work alot of hours and give day off more than wearing them out. Change policy service etc.

    Pros

Good perks when it comes to car buying. Corporate facility is beautiful.

    Cons

Upper management does not seem to care about rest of company. HR department is draconian and inexperienced. Poor vacation policy and very loosely defined policies that make day to day complex.

    Advice to Management

Reorganize marketing department and develop more generous benefits packages to keep employees satisfied. Bring in consultants for HR to keep the department from bringing down the business.
