I worked at Millennium Hotels and Resorts full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good benefits, great coworkers, tips in Banquets made it worth while. Employee recognition with cute little pineapple pins. Flexible shifts and understanding manager.

    Cons

Corporate management is horrible, no organization at all, hours depend on business needs, rotating management and no management on staff at times(only supervisors during certain hours) employee recognition was more of a popularity contest and the same people received it over and over.

    Advice to Management

Get better at organizing your day to day management. You will not be a top hotel in this state with your current management style.

Former Employee - Human Resources Associate in New York, NY

    Pros

Comfortable job. Nothing flashy, but not bad either. Pay is decent for mid level HR manager. Long hours not required. Everyone is out the door by 5:30 at the latest. One of the easiest and best paid jobs in the company. Most people within the department are friendly and easy to work with.

    Cons

Not too challenging. A lot of employee conflicts and drama from other departments have to be handled in Human Resources. A lot of uneducated trashy spanish people work in the hotel and they love to go around making trouble. Very difficult to deal with them if you are not spanish.

    Advice to Management

Some administrative assistants get paid more than the HR people. That was always very strange.

    Pros

Great place to work in the owner is so cool

    Cons

Low and mid levels of staff are not well taken care off, a lot of racism is in the company which supports Arabs , in some departments there are more managers that are not needed than staff

    Advice to Management

Equality to all staff and in the recruitment policy racism is rife in the company
