I worked at Miller-Motte Technical College full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

Good pay and benefits along with the faculty as well as the students.

    Cons

Could have offered a evening course to be competitive and offer people with day time jobs a chance to acquire their CDL's.

    Advice to Management

Should have allowed the Program Director and the Lead Instructor the opportunity to recruit future students into the CDL Program.

I worked at Miller-Motte Technical College full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

Met some wonderful people on the teaching staff

    Cons

Inbred management from Ancora Education Focus is not really on the student it is more keeping any live body in the classroom regardless of ability so that the revenue stream can be kept alive School is more than willing to put a student in a program that they do not want and tell them that they can switch later just to get the income stream No communication outside of the drivel passed down by the Ancora CEO and his...

    Advice to Management

Quit lying to your employees. Realize that there are more and better ideas out there than the ones you get from your inbred mid level or senior management. If you cannot do that, close the company or end up like ITT Tech.

I worked at Miller-Motte Technical College full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

The pay was okay, but still lower than comparable jobs near by. Some of the employees and faculty members are among the best in their field.

    Cons

There are just so many! As a place to work it is the absolute worst. Poor management from the top straight down. Management behaves like high school mean girls. They raise their voices way too often, blame employees for the mismanagement of their superiors, management is often petty, holding grudges and using their position to settle personal problems, managers in this company tend to hireand praise employees with a similar...

    Advice to Management

If youre serious about retaining MMC in the Ancora family, consider restructuring at your ground campuses. Scrutinize the DOA's! Make them do their jobs. Such as completing reviews, coming to work regularly and on time, and working while they are at work. I could rarely find my DOA and when I did she was usualy on her cell or chatting with the other directors while blowing off her second interviews and totaly disregarding...

I worked at Miller-Motte Technical College full-time for more than 2 years

        Pros

None, unless you are looking for extreme stress, poor health, and financial demise.

        Cons

Everything! A for-profit corporation of ill repute manages this chain of schools. Be sure to checkout Ancora. The number of openings for positions currently available at Ancora speaks volumes about the turnover rate. Use them and lose them should be the company's motto, both for the people it hires and the students it enrolls.

        Advice to Management

Stop posting jobs for Directors of Education, as if you even care about the education of the people from whom you are siphoning dollars. As one who knows, by prior experience, your Directors of Education are treated like scum, if they try to be ethical, responsible, and dedicated to the education of the enrolled students. Very few students have the capability to complete the program into which they were hoodwinked...

I worked at Miller-Motte Technical College

          Pros

I was in the dental assisting program and I have nothing but good things to say about mrs. Nadar and Mrs. Fuse . They are amazing teachers and were always there to help you if amd when you needed it. Out of the other classes you had to take, psychology with Mrs. Frey was by far my most favorite. She really has a way with how she teaches and approaches what we were learning about and when doing assignments. Class was...

          Cons

The only thing that really bothered me when going here was during the time when I was in my quarter for radiology. The teacher was nice as a person but not one of us in my class felt the slightest bit prepared for the danb. The days we had set to review and study with her she ended up not showing up . It never felt as if she was really trying to teach us. None of us passed the danb. None of us felt we should have to...
