I worked at Miller Zell (More than a year)

    Pros

Majority of folks were really nice.

    Cons

Direct supervisor was unaware of job duties and did not stand up for employees, as well as fostered an adversarial environment. Supervisor can't deal with conflict and chooses to ignore it.

    Advice to Management

Really look deep inside what you currently have in upper management and make a change.

I worked at Miller Zell full-time

    Pros

some of my coworkers were great- good people and hard workers- but upper management plays to favoritism and cliques

    Cons

the upper management treats employees horrible at times- lack of respect- keeps employees in the dark about contracts and happenings at higher levels-

    Advice to Management

be professional and care about the people that work hard for you or company will continue to have the reputation of an undesirable place to work no matter what location

    Cons

We just can't blend empowerment / micromanagement

    Advice to Management

Keep rolling ahead good president, CEO and exec team. Keep listening to the people that make a difference and allow them to be empowered

    Pros

    Mostly great coworkers
Company is trying to turn their culture around,
New upper management seems to be trying but not much has changed.

    Cons

Company is being taken over by a few questionable people in unnecessary middle management roles. Upper management needs to keep their eyes open before it is too late.
All talk no action. Same thing is said at every single meeting. No raises in years.
    Very, very cliquish.

    Advice to Management

Watch the middle management. Several are nothing but smoke and mirrors and are ruining what little good morale there is. Stop giving people who have not been there long ridiculous promotions.

    Pros

A great environment to succeed with plenty of support and horsepower. Strong strategic account vision in client development and prospecting.

    Cons

Direction of company was a bit loose and looking to catch up with competitors due to one or two key clients.

    Neutral Outlook

    Pros

Very good opportunity for those with limited cultural experience and mediocre educations.

    Cons

Senior management is greatly limited by their pretentious intellectual outlook and the commonplace solutions that it engenders. Clientele—as well as MZ’s communication strategies and concepts—give definition to mass-market low-brow culture. The chief challenge to individuals working there is the working environment and its dishonest, ingrained politics.

    Advice to Management

You’ll never be more than you are.

I worked at Miller Zell full-time

    Pros

Great place to work if all you have time for is work, lots of experiences to be gained, lots of good people to work with

    Cons

Very toxic work environment, lots of finger pointing and others taking credit for work someone else did

    Advice to Management

remove the heads of some of the departments that tend to bully their ideas and methods onto others instead of working collaboratively to get the job/task done

    Pros

The people and talent in the company are wonderful. It is a diverse atmosphere. Great potential!

    Cons

Leadership is clearly over-employed. No company strategy or direction. Middle management is experienced and understands the business. However, senior leadership clearly doesn't understand the business.

    Advice to Management

    President should quit now.
