    Pros

Great leadership. From the CEO down to front line Managers. High performance will equal high pay! If you can move- you can move up faster. Opening new stores everywhere and in great locations.

    Cons

The hours of course aren't the best- but it's the restaurant business Some of the sports we show aren't my favorite but hey it's not like I should be watching TV anyways

    Advice to Management

    Keep on pushing

Get extra cash if you get 100% on a shop

    Cons

Horrible management, they do not care for employees only profit.
Tips are inconstant, but i guess thats part of the game.
Management has "Favorite" employees that'll get out of practically of anything.
1st mistake you'll be on your final warning (my experience)
AGM and GM are always hiding in the back unless the big boss comes around

    Advice to Management

To care for for there employees more, actually listen to what there saying.
Be out on the floor more not hiding in the office.
show more appreciation for the employees even with simple good job or thank you nothing serious

I worked at Miller's Ale House full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great benefits and lots of regulars! The Hotel provides a steady stream of customers.

    Cons

There is alot of training for the Hotel, and more managers than employees. Always working overtime.

    Advice to Management

Give employees incentive to do a better job, and a better work/life balance.

I worked at Miller's Ale House full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Pretty laid-back company to work for with many locations throughout South Florida.

    Cons

At my time there I was responsible for a couple of areas in the restaurant. I received very little support from upper level management even though I was working very hard to improve the numbers in those areas. When I tried to correct the problems expecially with loss I was not really taken seriously or backed up properly. When I pointed out the reasons for loss I was not given the authority to properly handle the matter therefore nothing got fixed I ended up being reprimanded instead about why certain people were unhappy and felt like they were given a hard time when in reality they were the reason for the loss.

    Advice to Management

    Stand behind your assistants

I worked at Miller's Ale House part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Tips, good customer conversation, regular customers

    Cons

Management (They literally don't care about you or anyone but themselves), gossipy coworkers, constantly being talked down to, not flexible with scheduling, don't give you requested time off/days off

    Advice to Management

Get it together, work on your training (the 5 shift training is absolutely terrible), don't put servers that have no experience as coach trainers, care about your location and your reviews from customers

I have been working at Miller's Ale House part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

A busy night + a small support staff can have you leaving $80+ in cash tips (+ base pay). Great staff

    Cons

Tips depend on total server sales, tips are split bt/w the entire support staff (bussers + hosts). Late hours.

    Advice to Management

Raise base rate for support staff, increase traffic to restaurant

I have been working at Miller's Ale House part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

40% discount on all food, good hours if you're in the kitchen, decent hourly rate.

    Cons

Management playing favorites, hours becoming scarce due to over hiring, horribly opening responsibilities (usually have to clean the overflow from dumpsters when trucks don't come...regularly happens), unreliable scheduling, unreliable cash flow, serving staff is lazy (will barely do side work, are completely useless and stupid)...OH and the people who never do their job correctly get treated better than the people who do theirs (they use you). Need I say more?

    Advice to Management

Avoid over hiring, offer your employees better hours, give employees an opportunity to eat during downtime, promote teamwork, and pursue writing people up when they are lazy or refusing to do their work to promote better results.

I have been working at Miller's Ale House (Less than a year)

    Pros

    None
There are no pros here whatsoever.
Want to be overworked for lousy pay? Then apply here.

    Cons

Being treated like a slave and overworked for minimum pay.
    Lowest of the low.
Fascist rules to work for $5.00 an hour.
Horrible trashy customers that live off welfare and don't tip you and they expect to be treated like royalty in a sports bar.
Lots of unsatisfied and rude co-workers that take their frustration out on you because their lives are most likely terrible.
We were forced to memorize all of corporate employees names including CEO and
were tested on it in order to be qualified to be a server there. I don't even want to waste time mentioning the rest of it.
They also pay the hostesses $5.00 an hour and make you tip them out at the end of the night out of your own pocket that way they don't have to pay them!
Bottom line....If you have no skills or morals and suck at life this is the place for you!

    Advice to Management

They just follow the rules that corporate enforces. What can they do? Everything unpleasant about this place which is pretty much about everything starts at the top of this company.
