    Pros

Basically the only real pro of this company is that is has good extra benefits, you could also say that they pay almost on time every month.

    Cons

Excruciating slow pace. Management practices every bad habit stated in management books and MBAs. They do not promote based on merit 95% of the time. They do not walk their talk. They look for someone to blame when problems arise. No mistakes tolerated, so no real innovation happens. Highly hierarchical and bureaucratic which continues to increase.

    Advice to Management

Change yourselves, you are not fit for the job.

I worked at Millicom full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Competitive pay, fast paced, international team, challenging geographical scope. Fairly flat organisation. Nice office in London, half way between center and Heathrow.

    Cons

Lack of vision and strategy, short term focused, too unstable, too much incompetence in HR and lack of focus on employee development. Heavy travel requirements and poor travel policy.

    Advice to Management

Define an actual strategy and adopt some consistency in execution!

    Pros

Get the global experience and job scope that you may not get in a more traditional organization.

    Cons

Expect no respect for work life balance and a low trust environment where people are viewed as an expendable resource.

    Advice to Management

Walk the talk - consider revising the infamous "Golden Rules" which are a laughing point amongst a majority of the people in the company. The humor is that while the Senior Management espouses the values in the MIC Golden Rules their actions and words are inconsistent with those values. Perhaps the fact that the Golden Rules are hanging in the toilet at the Stenbeck farm in Luxembourg is telling.
