I have been working at Millicom full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Competent people in leadership positions
    Lots of challenges, not boring
Team work to address challenges from multidisciplinary approaches w/ people who know their role, this means you have specialiced roles in everything.
Clear path to the future in the business, in constant development but it is nice to see that there are results to the execution of the plans.
Really good advantages and benefits, from medical insurance 70% paid by company, discounts in tv, internet services, mobile services and devices, and other external benefits.

    Cons

Its huge size makes it difficult to react quickly to unplanned events.
Too many priorities at the same time makes it hard in work-life balance and in getting everyone on board for projects
Shared services (specially IT) show zero willingness to contribute to solutions, they mostly act as blockage.
Some areas are too afraid to mess up that they stick to exactly what is expected of them and thus do not ever innovate or go the extra mile.
You cannot really get over the idea that promotions are mostly results of connections and not of merit. The informality in the process of preselection internally lessens your chances of upgrading. If you are wondering if someone is good for the job, let us propose 5 people who can speak about us instead of asking anyone who may not be relevant to the decision or has no sufficient proof of the quality of one´s job.
