    Pros

Heard some great music and got to be part of something special. Seeing the inner workings and taking part hosting in over 100,000 people to a music venue is unforgettable.

    Cons

Perhaps out of necessity at lower levels of the company you are just a cog in the machine.

    Cons

little room to grow within the company

I have been working at Milwaukee World Festival (Less than a year)

    Pros

My boss has an open-door policy, I do meaningful work for the organization, and my contributions are recognized by upper management.

    Cons

Some might consider the atmosphere too casual, but I certainly do not. Also if you are on a diet, you will not appreciate the candy and goodies in the community kitchen.

    Advice to Management

    Keep it up!

I have been working at Milwaukee World Festival as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

Laid back environment. I had a great experience and grew a lot from my few months in the job

    Cons

It was a limited seasonal position. I wish I had the chance to work for the company more permanently, but the full time staff is pretty limited since the company revolves around one main event in the summer

I worked at Milwaukee World Festival part-time

    Pros

Coworkers, good times, you'll always have stories to tell. Good music, meet celebrities at times.

    Cons

Low pay, must pay for parking, food, drinks, very busy hectic work, dealing with drunks.

    Advice to Management

Pay your security people for the work they do!!

I worked at Milwaukee World Festival as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Free Summerfest tickets, inside scoop on the festival's lineup, paid hourly + commission... and your work is done before the festival starts, so you can fully enjoy Summerfest :)

    Cons

You will spend a LOT of time cold calling businesses on the mailing list. Basically no opportunities for hire after the internship term, given the nature of the festival business.

I worked at Milwaukee World Festival part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Very fun environment, air conditioned booths, fun coworkers, managers would periodically give out giftcards, received 2 free Summerfest Tickets, free uniforms

    Cons

Pay wasn't great, no parking available (had to pay for your own parking or else find a ride), no food discounts, no employee dining room (no access to refrigerator/microwave), have to deal with lots of drunk/angry customers and huge lines. Of course you cannot attend any of the concerts as you are working during the majority of them.

    Advice to Management

Offer a higher rate of pay
