    Pros

    Opportunities for free beer.
Many of the hourly people are nice. A couple of the managers are human.
Many of the outside brewery reps are great.

    Cons

    The vehicle benefit is gone.
Family owned company, family has no accountability.
Family thinks they are practical, but make stupid decisions without thinking.
Favoritism. Rules are allowed to be broken for some.
HR is unprofessional. No such thing as confidentiality.
Even managers that have been there 20 or 25 years fear for their jobs.
Family doesn't care about their products, only the profit from them.
No people skills. Haven't picked up a brewery in years. Word gets around.
Everything's about money, but they have no sense of value, especially people.

    Advice to Management

Sell the business. You will never, ever live up to your fathers legacy. Boots Mims is rolling in his grave.

    Pros

    Company Car
    Good work and life balance

    Cons

    Favoritism
    Little respect shown by management
    Little support given by management

    Advice to Management

Show more respect to the sales team and instead of hammering them on mistakes, try to train them on ways to get better. The Mim's that own Mim's distributing need to show the sales team more appreciation for the hard work that is done and not tell us that they just bought beach houses and then tell us we are getting a pay cut in the same meeting.
