    Pros

You are working with some of the smartest people in the industry. The CEO, Peter Bauer really cares about this company and his employees. Hard to find that in a CEO.

    Cons

    There are no cons yet.

I have been working at Mimecast full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great coworkers, benefits, supportive environment. Company is growing fast and a lot of room for career growth, they mostly promote from within. Cold brew, wine and beer on tap. Standing desks are great!

    Cons

Giant vents/fans everywhere in the new building that have the decibel level of a jet engine plane. Also most people are somewhat crammed like sardines in the open office layout, so there's a lot of noise and chatter from the people around you. Can be very distracting, at times not conducive to good work, but hopefully these are just growing pains

    Advice to Management

Just keep doing what you're doing

    Cons

Changes made and adjustments as year has gone, but normal for company that experienced so much growth..

I have been working at Mimecast full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Lunches, no accountability (From all the way up) This is good for someone to go to work and actually do nothing....I mean that...NOTHING. You will not be fired, you also wont make any money as they pay their sales reps way under market. Its a very friendly office also, dress code doesn't exist at all. Im not exaggerating, you dont have to actually close deals to retain your job......I dont know how they will ever be a big boy. Not with the VP they have specifically for larger accounts. He is more worried in hiring or promoting his friends that have zero selling skills. How he has a job baffles me. I am not sure he would even be a manager somewhere else.

    Cons

All of the above! culture, bad hires, directors and managers that have never managed before and bring no value to the team Working on fear doesn't work. Its the definition of madness, they keep repeating the same mistakes and then want to know why they cant sell a thing. Also because most of the sales reps were never properly tought. One silver lining is the SVP they have. He is truly amazing. But I am wondering how long that will last. If he goes I go for sure. I am currently looking

    Advice to Management

See the place to someone that actually would care

    Pros

    Cons

Since IPO the new employees don't understand the culture so that will certainly change. The culture didn't need to change as it was never broken

I worked at Mimecast full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The work itself is enjoyable and there is a lot to learn.

    Cons

Management/Suprtvisors promised me my health issues not not cause reason for any ill will and they wanted to support me. Instead, after a yearly review and being praised for handling my job so well, HR contacted me 3 months later and instantly put me on final warning and told me whatever I had been previously told didn't matter anymore. The first chance they got to fire me over going to the emergency room dying of dehydration, they did, and they did so very coldly.

    Advice to Management

I have never been more betrayed by my leadership and management team in all the companies I've ever worked for. I was taken advantage of to cover the night shift, and was further mistreated until I was fired because I had to go to the ER and apparently messaging 3 people hours in advance wasn't good enough. You should be ashamed, and I deserve one HELL of an apology.
