I have been working at Mimeo.com full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

If you're willing to learn and put in the effort Mimeo is a very rewarding place to work. I've made more money here in my 4 years than I would have ever thought imaginable going into it. Mimeo hires from within and is always looking to promote it's own employees before looking outside. The work life balance is incredible and I've never been turned down on a vacation request. The employees all get along great and go out together during the week.

I've read a lot of negative reviews about Mimeo and it's almost surprising. I think a lot of the negativity comes from people who believe they were owed something instead of working hard and proving themselves. At the end of the day if you're working in sales you need to put up numbers regardless of what organization you work for. For some people it's easier to blame the organization and other people for their own shortcomings.

    Cons

Communication between sales and other departments can get better. Outside of sales some of the other departments lack accountability for their work causing simple, avoidable, mistakes that sales usually answers for to the clients.

    Advice to Management

Keep promoting and hiring from within. Get other departments on the same page as sales.

Communication between departments can always improve.

    Pros

Production dept works their butts offs to supply a good product. Great customers who love Mimeo, but they don't have much use for it anymore. Exec team cares a lot, but lightning doesn't strike twice and their time has past. Nice views from office.

    Cons

What do Fax machines, Blackberrys and Mimeo have in common? All cutting edge products whose time has come and gone. Too many competitors now offering same and better product. Middle management have little-to-no experience in managing and leading people. Like many immature companies, they change and change but with no new ideas or leadership to make any real difference. Industry revenue is shrinking and so is Mimeos.

    Pros

Overall a good experience, you can enjoy what you do

    Cons

The management SUCKS! And if your not willing to give up your life your not doing your best... There is a lot favoritism and a lot of really good employees feeling unappreciated or uncomfortable because management make you feel like your not suppose to be human

    Advice to Management

You have a good staff if you treat them with respect and not just as an number ... Everyone in the building is motivated to work just want some appreciation

I have been working at Mimeo.com full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Mimeo is a great place to work with lot's of opportunities and a terrific service that customers love. In my time with Mimeo, I have worked with hundreds of customers and their feedback regarding product and service is overwhelmingly positive. The company is in a very unique position in the market with a lot of value and potential for growth.

From a work environment perspective, there is a great team atmosphere and a sense of working towards a common goal. The leadership and Senior Management are always open to
help and provide great coaching and mentoring if you show initiative. If you are driven, smart, dedicated and looking to progress your career, you will have every opportunity to succeed and prove yourself.

    Cons

Time management can be a challenge. Sometimes you will have to deal with conflicting priorities. Some other challenges that are typical with growing organizations and change management.

    Advice to Management

Continue listening to customer's feedback to expand services and accessibility of Mimeo. Continue adding and improving support around the sales and project management. Have all departments align when supporting customers.

I have been working at Mimeo.com full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

If you are new to sales or just getting started in your career, Mimeo is a great place to be; you can learn basic sales skills and keep honing your talent while you continue to grow. The new sales model opened up more room for vertical growth, and quite a few employees have taken advantage of the opportunity to grow horizontally as well. So lots of room for movement.

The base salary is much better than that of comparable positions at other companies, and the benefits (health, dental, vision) are really incredible. The environment on the sales floor is relaxed and comfortable, and most people find good friends here. Overall everyone is great and gets along well.

    Cons

In order to be successful in sales here, you must be driven and able to take control of your own success. That's pretty much true with any sales position at any company, however. There are office politics and some issues on the sales floor, but these problems persist because most people complain about things amongst themselves and fail to communicate anything. Problems can't be fixed if nobody in the position to change things is aware of them.

    Advice to Management

Get in touch with your employees directly, and I don't mean through sales management. It would almost be a good idea to regularly facilitate therapy-like sessions where people can discuss things openly 1-on-1, without fear that there will be any negative repercussions or judgment against them. Those "anonymous" surveys won't work, nobody trusts that those are actually anonymous.

    Pros

I can't think of any to be honest. Maybe the cool view from the office.

    Cons

Everything. Where do I begin? Rampant favoritism. Boys club. Lots of drug use and sexual favors traded for good accounts. Think wolf of Wall Street on a much lower budget and replace stocks with printing. The people who run this company are delusional and seem to think their business model is sustainable in the long run. Wrong. If you enjoy having anxiety attacks and crying in the bathroom on a regular basis because you've been set up for failure from inception, this is the place for you. If you are a hardworking, honest individual, probably not. But they do have free snack and a keg so if that's your jam, more power to you! Also. Sexual harassment. All the time. No one will listen.

    Advice to Management

Shut down before anarchy erupts. Or sell off and cash in while you still can.
