I worked at Mindfire Solutions (More than a year)

    Pros

Based on my own experience in my location and my team:

    1) Flexible in terms of attire and time(just get your work done and leave, no need to stick around needlessly).
    2) Decent learning curve to start off with
    3) Very friendly and open manager
    4) There is at least a vague vision to the company

    Cons

    1) Mid-level managers are unambitious and completely satisfied with rote and mundane work
    2) Weird decision making when it comes to incentives to employees
    3) Vision is blurry and keeps getting warped and postponed seemingly without reasons
    4) Learning becomes non-existent a year into the company

    Advice to Management

    - Make incentives more intrinsic and worthwhile to the employees
    - Hire people that are into technology and want to go places, not just looking to settle down permanently in the same place
    - Try to become more product driven

    Negative Outlook

I have been working at Mindfire Solutions (More than a year)

    Pros

Mindfire solutions is my first employer, so I don't have a scale to measure them to.
But this is not how I expected software industries to be.
Prior to joining Mindfire, I read some Glassdoor reviews, and boy o' boy, they were bad.
Maybe people have very different expectations.
I expected a cubicle with SRS documents pile, clients breathing down my neck and leads demanding hours after hours.
To the contrary if you are willing to take ownership, willing to contribute,
willing to WORK, they won't even bother you to come to office. Work from home is always an option. This is what actually with happened with me.
They pamper employees as simple as that.

People grow here. People start to aspire, and then people start asking for more.
This is my personal view towards working with my team. BTW about your colleagues, they will be awesome, exceptional people join Mindfire, or maybe I was the only lucky one, my team is brilliant. My lead is too. :D

People used to complain about hierarchy, senior management, culture, ethics.
Like I said, people have very different expectation. I have an awesome relationship with my employers.

I can be what I want to be in here. Software Developer, I meant ;)

    Cons

Like I said people have different expectations.
    I had none, so I wasn't disappointed.
But some of my friends did complain about some projects been boring, been too old and obsolete to refactor, too ugly to maintain.
Maybe some projects are bad I cannot say for sure.

    Advice to Management
