I worked at Miniluxe full-time for more than a year

    Pros

40% off retail Free services if you can get in

    Cons

Horrible horrible management at almost every single location. They have 0 communication skills at all. If you do something wrong instead of coming to you and coaching you through it they are so quick to make accusations and punish you for them. Punishments include talking about what you did to everyone and their mother, for nail techs moving them to the back of the book so they get less clients than everyone else, cutting...

    Advice to Management

Do your job? Run the store and don't let it fall on everyone else who works there without any proper instruction. Stop being petty you guys are supposed to be leaders! If you don't like something that someone is doing HAVE A CONVERSATION. I know the majority of you cringe at the thought of actually talking to your employees and would rather hide behind the front and make us look like the bad guys, but that's exactly why...

I worked at Miniluxe part-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Free Services (nails and waxing) - Exposure to great clientele - Improving personal skills

    Cons

    - Class warfare between the designers and the front desk staff. All of the designers speak in native language and gang up against other employees - Poor communication from senior management - Poor pay for the amount of responsibility that you have - Super understaffed so impossible to get a shift covered if something comes up. - Sub-par and out of date technology.

    Advice to Management

Improve the bullying in your studios between the designers and the other staff members no one should feel that unsafe at work. Get better at communicating with staff and potentially improving your technology could help you there. None of the systems speak to each other we had one system for scheduling and another for payroll and another for benefits. It's way too much to manage, especially as a part time employee.

I have been working at Miniluxe part-time

    Pros

    - great, quality products sold and used in services - opportunity for growth in the company

    Cons

    - sometimes you get no lunch break and you have to plan out a bathroom break and end up missing phone calls or making clients wait to check in/out. not legal in my state at all, but we're just encouraged to snack. - managers often work from home which leaves desk staff in charge of the salon, often times alone for 6-8 hours. you'll often spend the day being pulled in several...

    Advice to Management

Please remember that your employees are human beings with lives, families, bills, feelings who are dedicated to a craft and fine service, and not just collateral damage for company growth.
