    I worked at Miniso full-time

    Pros

    coworkers are not too bad

    Cons

don't even waste your time unless you are truly desperate and need the (terrible) pay. Even then I'd recommend working elsewhere. This is barely a legitimate company.

    I worked at Miniso part-time

    Pros

-The time shipment would come in would be the best in my opinion as I like being active in any job I am in.

    Cons

I don't feel that I have any cons during my time at Miniso.

I have been working at Miniso full-time

    Pros

Co-workers were fun to work with. The environment is fast-paced and you don't get stuck doing one task. Products are cute and affordable.

    Cons

Complaints are ignored. Schedules are messed up. Upper management didn't know how to operate register and troubleshoot. Inventory sucked but we still get yelled at for doing poor in sales by upper management. Little to no benefits and no holiday pay. They have too many communication methods. Figure out which one you want to use and stick with it. Don't message employees when they are off the clock and expect them...

    Advice to Management

Don't expect people to respect you when you don't respect them. Don't toss new employees onto the floor and expect them to know what to do when they have yet to be trained. Stop with the ineffective quick solutions, try to fix the source of the problem. Hire an overnight team to complete go-backs, inventory, and layout changes. It's impossible to complete during opening hours.

    I worked at Miniso full-time

    Pros

Some coworkers are cool and great to work with. It’s a fast-paced environment that allows you to wear many hats. Can promote quickly on the retail side. After working at Miniso, you will appreciate future companies and bosses you work for.

    Cons

The COO has created such a hostile environment that no one seems to have motivation to move the company forward. Some business decisions being made make no sense, and there are so many process/operational/structural changes without allowing enough time to determine whether a change would be effective before making a new change. The COO will constantly tell you to “do better” no matter how hard you work. He also thinks...

    Advice to Management

Value all your employees and be competitive with pay and benefits. Treat employees with respect and fairness. Give people practical goals and deadlines for tasks. Stop forcing employees to answer on weekends and use multiple means of communication. This is NOT China, so follow US laws if you want Miniso US to survive. Stop making ineffective decisions for the company and back up business decisions with research rather...

I worked at Miniso full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Potential platform for you to expend your network that this company will eventually ruin it for you. Good package products but really bad quality. The concepts of the company model.

    Cons

Yelling, lots of them. Chinese culture, work until you drop. No off hours nor day, your phone is expected to be on at all times. Rumors about you if your boss doesn't like you. Politics, politics in the office all the time. Hire for friends and family for all positions. No discount. No respect. The Chinese COO boss expected you to throw all your experiences and professional skills out the window. He wants...

    Advice to Management

Please get in troubles so you will learn quickly that what you are doing right now is so wrong and you are the reason why people are leaving. People might be young but they are not dumb. Whoever has eyes can see and will know that you are the biggest problem. So there. HQ needs to really study the culture and laws, manners and human rights to be able to work with people here.

    I worked at Miniso full-time

    Pros

    Cute products...that’s about it

    Cons

Upper Management doesn’t know what he is doing. He thinks he knows everything but he doesn’t even have retail experience in the US. He tries to brainwash people but his logic doesn’t make any sense. He wants to run the business like #china but it’s not China here. There’s rules and regulations that we have to follow. He doesn’t appreciate his employees. He thinks that people are loyal to him and the company- that’s just...

    Advice to Management

HQ needs to step in and restructure the company. Hire experienced people and actually learn to appreciate people’s background and experiences.

I worked at Miniso full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Absolutely zero. I left voluntarily because of the unethical events going on at both the corporate and retail levels.

    Cons

Completely inept COO and franchising team. The corporate team is barely keeping it together, and it seems that the franchise team will one of the major reasons why this company fails. Certain deals have yet to close because the company is still trying to figure out unethical ways to work around US law.

    Advice to Management

Hire smarter and more ethical people. Too much shady stuff going on.

I have been working at Miniso part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Co-workers are great, Busy, Fun for me that is

    Cons

Upper Management seems like they don't know what they're doing, poor hours, stockroom is a hazard

    Advice to Management

Consider a possible over night team to fix and organize the stockroom and sales floor, instead of hiring 10+ people and giving them only 5-10 hours a week hire 8 people so it can be 2-3 people per shift with 6+ hour shifts. Then each person can have 3-4 days a week. I'm not sure about that math but don't hire over 10 people when you open a store unless it's a big store.

I have been working at Miniso part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Cute products Good hours (unless you’re a student who needs time for school) That’s really it. This is a terrible company to work for.

    Cons

We are UNDERSTAFFED. So you will be expected to do the work of at least 2 workers on minimum wage. You’ll get yelled at if you don’t. No discount. Nothing at all. NO HOLIDAY PAY We are paid less than we are supposed to be paid At the end of our shift, we are expected to clock out and keep working (SUPER ILLEGAL) Shift leads get paid the same as cashiers when they should be getting paid more They expect way too much from...

    Advice to Management

This isn’t China. Your workers are humans, not robots you throw money at to work. We have rights here. And please, try to organize yourselves. This is by far the messiest company I’ve ever worked for. There’s so much you could do to make the stores more efficient but instead you blame sales associates for your inefficiency.

    I worked at Miniso

    Pros

    Friendly coworkers, customers, cute items

    Cons

No employee discount, overworking what we're paid for, management, lying about overtime on holidays, minimal training, bad/ no communication. My advice - just dont work here.

    Advice to Management

Learn to respect your employees. Especially since we do more than what we are paid to do. This isn't China, there are laws here. Also, don't lie or hide things from employees. Eventually it will be found out. I felt like I didn't learn as much as I have expected here.
