    I worked at Miniso full-time

    Pros

    Cute products...that’s about it

    Cons

Upper Management doesn’t know what he is doing. He thinks he knows everything but he doesn’t even have retail experience in the US. He tries to brainwash people but his logic doesn’t make any sense. He wants to run the business like #china but it’s not China here. There’s rules and regulations that we have to follow. He doesn’t appreciate his employees. He thinks that people are loyal to him and the company- that’s just...

    Advice to Management

HQ needs to step in and restructure the company. Hire experienced people and actually learn to appreciate people’s background and experiences.

I have been working at Miniso part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Cute products Good hours (unless you’re a student who needs time for school) That’s really it. This is a terrible company to work for.

    Cons

We are UNDERSTAFFED. So you will be expected to do the work of at least 2 workers on minimum wage. You’ll get yelled at if you don’t. No discount. Nothing at all. NO HOLIDAY PAY We are paid less than we are supposed to be paid At the end of our shift, we are expected to clock out and keep working (SUPER ILLEGAL) Shift leads get paid the same as cashiers when they should be getting paid more They expect way too much from...

    Advice to Management

This isn’t China. Your workers are humans, not robots you throw money at to work. We have rights here. And please, try to organize yourselves. This is by far the messiest company I’ve ever worked for. There’s so much you could do to make the stores more efficient but instead you blame sales associates for your inefficiency.

I have been working at Miniso

    Pros

Cute products and perks of being the first one to see new shipments.

    Cons

High turnover for store managers. We had one store manager fired because of an accident at the store that was blamed onto the manager and the manager was told that she could either quit or be fired. Another store manager came in and was not properly trained fully. Lack of sales was blamed on the new store manager and they were fired after four months. Another store manager came in after and was fired after a month abruptly....

    Advice to Management

Such high turnover for store managers means that something is broken. Do not always blame them for things going badly. There needs to be a more unified approach to managing stores versus a top-down approach. Your minimum wage sales associates do not care to read your 100+ page training manuals because there is no incentivization.

    I worked at Miniso full-time

    Pros

cheap and cute products, so many newly launched stores with great market opportunities.

    Cons

The family company, terrible organizational structure. Lack of communication between stores and head offices, so many operational issues got delayed for weeks. And yeah, they do expect you to work overtime without paying you anything.

    Advice to Management

Solve the urgent store operational problems before launching new ones
