    Approves of CEO

I worked at Minneapolis Schools full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great people to work with and wonderful students. The training provided by MPS was very helpful and I learned a lot from both the district and the students I worked with.

    Cons

None for me personally, but there was some tension of treatment of engineers by the district.

    Advice to Management

Be more open about why decisions are being made and what the effects of those decisions will be.

I have been working at Minneapolis Schools full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Good benefits and opportunities to move within school district.

    Cons

Starting pay for new employees are below living wages. Does not pay an employee according experience and education . Jobs only focus on student behavior, and does not focus on academic success . Has a high turnover rate.

    Advice to Management

Pay new employees a living wage, and offer education reimbursement benefit.

I have been working at Minneapolis Schools part-time for more than a year

    Pros

The pay was great and the benefits and various training opportunities were solid. There was a lot of room to grow and learn more about the education field.

    Cons

It is a challenge working with youth and also having different points of views from your peers. You often find yourself being challenged about your decisions. It was also very unorganized at the school I worked for and there was a lack of accountability.
