    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Minnesota Teen Challenge part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Hands down best place to work! I couldn't imagine a more caring work environment. The people here are like a second family, and everyone I know genuinely cares about their job and the impact they are making on society.

    Cons

You have to accept a slightly smaller salary due to it being in the nonprofit sector, but it is well worth if for what I get out of my job!

    Advice to Management

If you care for your employees, you will have an amazing team! Everyone who works here is passionate about what they do, and are more than willing to put in the work required to produce results.

I have been working at Minnesota Teen Challenge part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Helping others, going on activities and outings, flexible, Christian activities, learning opportunities, management works with you

    Cons

clients can treat you poorly and be verbally abusive, high expectations, low pay for industry standard, emotionally demanding, stressful, many other employees are past clients- this can create division and these employees do not have good work/personal life boundaries- the organization is their life

    Advice to Management

Increase the pay to industry standard or decrease job expectations to meet salary, recovery coaches do the same thing as "chemical dependency techs" at other facilities, but get paid about $3 to $6 less
