I worked at Misericordia Heart of Mercy full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Higher pay compared to similar agencies and 401k. Located in a fairly safe neighborhood compared to previous location down south.

    Cons

Management made it known how replaceable staff was then wondered why their turn over rate was so high. Screening process for new hires involved a literacy test and ability to breathe.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your frontline employees more often. Even the ones who don’t go drink at fireside with you every week.

Love working with residents the longer you work with them the more you learn about love life and yourself ..love those guys and ladies.

    Need to have management training

I worked at Misericordia Heart of Mercy (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Reasonable pay, health, dental, vision and excellent 401k benefits. Nice environment. Pleasant people, great team work.

    Cons

Communication needs to be improved. Lounge areas for breaks are minimal. More on the job educational programs and in-service would show support from administration.

    Advice to Management

Invest more in your human resources. They are the heart, soul and backbone of this organization.
