    Pros

Management team is second to none and tremendous to work with. Beautiful work environment.

    Cons

GM seems out of touch with staff and operations. Company vision and direction conspicuously kept secret.

I worked at Mission Point Resort full-time

    Pros

It was on mackinac Island so you got to be on vacation

    Cons

Living conditions are terrible. Pay is even worse because they subtract over half what you make to pay for terrible living and food.

I worked at Mission Point Resort full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Wonderful, loyal, long term management staff that has mostly been squeezed out by the GM. Beautiful setting. Beautiful island to live and work on.

    Cons

There is zero loyalty to professionals. Do your research before considering this place as a "career option". Very high turnover amongst management. Most would attribute to the very unpredictable moods of the Vice president of hotels.

    Advice to Management

In a tourist driven economy, this should go without saying..."treat others better". This would require extensive remodeling of employee housing, allowing employees to balance work life and off time. Need better leadership that is team driven and more predictable regarding mood swings. One poor leader can derail an entire culture.
