High Trust & High Love

> I love getting to work with missionaries through their whole journey - from Pre-MTC to Online MTC and In-MTC. > Management really trust teachers and tutors to work independently and support missionaries in their Chinese education > The MTC has many resources to help tutors get started, including great mentors, managers, and trainings. > Wonderful team and very helpful management > Love the vision and direction of the Asia-Pacific Area
Cons
> Not as flexible as I initially thought. I am able to work remotely, but that flexibility is inconsistent. > A lot of change in curriculum. I have been here for less than a year and have seen at least two major changes to the main teaching models.

Pros
Working at the MTC is a great environment with amazing co-workers/supervisors. The missionaries teach you so much and you're able to build friendships.
Cons
It's hard not to compare yourselves to others or to not feel adequate to teach. Sometimes exhausting haha (like the mission).

Cons
A lot of turnover because it is a college job, sometimes a bit disorganized.

Pros
Great flexibility and work environment
Cons
Requires you to work on Sundays
- Former Employee★★★★★
Pros
I loved working with missionaries.
Cons
My manager did not understand or wanted to understand my perspective, people want to work at the MTC so badly that managers get away treating you like you are 100% replaceable, they do not value their employees unless they are exactly what the manager expects.
