I have been working at Missouri State University part-time

    Pros

Staff are very friendly, pay is reasonable

    Cons

Forget trying to find a parking space. There is not enough parking available for the amount of staff and students on campus every day. on top of that, you have to purchase a parking permit.

    Advice to Management

Parking problem on campus needs to be addressed. 20-40 minutes to find a parking space is frustrating and unreasonable.

    Doesn't Recommend

    No opinion of CEO

I worked at Missouri State University full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Faculty and staff have a lot of days off, development options, and opportunities to get involved are around every corner.

    Cons

The pay is sub-par. They expect people to stick around because of school spirit despite the poor pay. The politics and hierarchies make it fairly difficult for people to move up without waiting in line. Mediocrity is rewarded.

    Advice to Management

Pay the employee somewhere near what you advertise the students should expect as compensation given the same education level. It's heartbreaking to see the adds for the students to pursue eduction and realize that the employees with those qualifications are paid significantly less.
