    Pros

For Rolla the pay is decent. Insurance and retirement are available from day one. Company still offers a small pension (Note to be fully vested in the pension you have to stay for 5 years).

    Cons

They have changed the benefits a lot in the last couple years. They have taken away insurance for retirees. They have not given more than 1% raises in over 2 years and with the budget issues it doesn't look like they will give them anytime soon. The only way to get a pay increase is to change jobs.

    Advice to Management

Faculty are treated like royalty. Please consider treating your staff the same way.

I have been working at Missouri University of Science and Technology part-time

    Pros

    Flexible schedule
    Understand that school comes first
    Pay is decent/untaxed

    Cons

    Job can get repetitive
Sometimes the tasks you are given seem pointless and are just there to fill your time

    Advice to Management

Only ask students to do tasks that have a purpose, they could be studying otherwise. Come up with stuff for students to do before they get to work that day if you want them to be busy for the whole shift.
