    Pros

A few bright people to work with, decent pay and benefits, nice facility.

    Cons

Complete train wreck in APD division. Upper management incompetent and arrogant beyond belief. Once a thriving department now completely destroyed due to mismanagement. Lost every battle in the marketplace. Some good concepts but nothing executed.

    Advice to Management

Remove current management staff and start over. Seriously. That or sell out. It's over.

    Pros

Mr Mitchell established a great company but 70yrs down the track, it is becoming a different company! It is a subsidiary and owned by an independent entity.

    Cons

Senior managers, Directors and others alike, are using the company just for their own benefit and to pass time. These guys are so unethical, ruthless, liars and abusive - they do not care about others, but have great marketing stuff about themselves on online profiles - some even have glamorous photos to go with their profile. Can you imagine being in a team with them?

    Advice to Management

Could you bring in "Clint Eastwood" to take care of your "leaders"?

    Pros

Coworkers were a nice group of professionals to work with.

    Cons

Frequent and constant layoffs. It's sad to see my teammates pushed out after dedicating so many years to the company.
    No upward mobility as well.

    Advice to Management

It may be too late to benefit from any advice at this point.

I worked at Mitchell International as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

great co-workers, cafeteria on site that serves good food for one shift. was a good facility until they quit cleaning and started smashing employees together with no personal space. can't think of any more,

    Cons

Management, management. They play favorites. No growth potential unless you are a favorite to management which in some departments requires things that border harassment. No employee loyalty. They continually take away company perks, they outsource internationally any opportunity they have. Products need much improvement. Not keeping up with the standard progress. Way too much overtime required with no compensation

    Advice to Management

    get over yourself.

I have been working at Mitchell International full-time

    Pros

I work with good hard working people

    Cons

They are getting rid of employees who have been with Mitchell for more than 10 years and outsourcing to people in India and Mexico. This company is not about equal opportunity. Their motto should be, "It's not what you know, it's who you know." Most of the time the jobs are not posted and the positions are just handed to people. The quality of work is going down the drain because of the outsourcing. Devoted employees work for this company for 7 years and still won't hire those employees on permanent. They are taking advantage of people. All the employees work really hard and upper management always takes the credit for it. Supervisors and managers need to stop playing favorites and keep an eye on those favorites because they are taking advantage. If policies are going to be enforced it needs to be enforced for all employees.

They got rid of the school reimbursement program, a lot of the paid holidays and now we have to use our vacation time to take it off.

There is no opportunity for growth. No objectives are given to move up in your position.

The reviews are never on time and the merit increases are random.

When employees do get promoted, they keep them at the same pay.

Mitchell doesn't care about it's employees. The only goal on their mind is get rid of it's most valuable and hard working employees so they can save money for poor quality of work by outsourcing. The work we do is not appreciated and that's why we are all expendable.

    Advice to Management

Poor quality of work and cheap labor = loss of clients! Open your eyes, not your pockets!

    Pros

    decent salary (I suppose)
I would say if you have learned how to cheat the system, you could do very well for yourself.
I honestly can't think of anything else.

    Cons

    Where do I begin...
Ego centric. Everyone believes they are better than anyone else. You are treated by your pay grade.
People are overworked and stressed out while others just coast along.
People win awards who do not deserve them. When I say do not deserve...I mean they work remote and go surfing while other people slave away at their cubicles.

    Advice to Management

Leave. Just leave. And the company needs to hire a people who haven't been infected with the diseases culture festering in this organization.

    Pros

It can be a good place to work if you don't care about producing quality products or delighting the customer.

    Cons

Mitchell is faced with the hard realities of driving the business purely on short-sighted financials for way to long. Non-existed product quality and more than a decade of technology catch-up to do. Not a company for those who value engineering.

    Advice to Management

Establish a meaningful vision. Find the company's identity and fix the hiring practices. Learn to trust.

    Pros

Every 2 week paycheck. Colleagues are good. If you go with the flow, you will survive, if not Beware. Idea's are Not accepted.

    Cons

Lack of qualified Management, promote from within, with NO management skills. Cigna Health Insurance said Mitchell got the 'Bottom Of The Barrel' Health plan for their employees & it is not good. This company sucks the life out of you. Take, Take, Take & give nothing back. Makes feeble attempts to increase employee support after every annual employee survey, which they Fail miserably every year. This place has no clue & is just money hungry. After the failed attempt to merge with a rival company, which company lawyers should have known would create a monopoly, the federal government turned the merger down and Mitchell lost millions. Management stayed and employees paid for inept management.

    Advice to Management

Get your act together, you are on a Downward slide. Hire Qualified Management that can motivate employees. Get out of the Good Old Boys mentality & Treat your employees fairly. Quit taking all incentives and benefits away.
