I worked at Mitchell Martin full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Mitchell Martin is very good about setting goals and expectations of employees. Every colleague I interacted with seemed to understand exactly what their role was driving towards. This becomes challenging as an organization gets larger. I also appreciated that MMI invests heavily in "innovation" which may sound like marketing BS but they recognize to be cutting edge and organization must look for what is going to disrupt them. That is a big differentiator for MMI

    Cons

The healthcare plan was a little weaker than I had expected but I think that is more of a sign of the times than a specific critique about MMI. MMI serves as employer of record for a few companies and in some cases they do not operate in the way that MMI does.

    Advice to Management

Pay close attention to "employer of record" relationships as they may not be aligned as well with MMI as they should be. Important for these organizations to have autonomy but also must be kept under watchful eye.

I have been working at Mitchell Martin full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I have been a contract programmer for 30+ years. Mitchell Martin is a pleasure to work with. I did NOT need to take my usual defensive position when working with Mitchell Martin. They did not try to get me to reduce my rate. Pay is every two weeks and on time. They do NOT hold back money and use my pay money to fund their operations. They worked with me to get the assignment. I was not just a warm body they needed to make their numbers.

    Cons

I have not experienced any problems working with them.

    Advice to Management

Keep on doing what you are doing now.
Your website is what a recruiters web site should look like.

    Pros

Great place for self motivated recruiters who don't want to be micromanaged. Enough leadership to help guide you, but not prohibit you.
Good training program for newcomers with no experience in the biz.
Great client list with regional and national companies.
    Solid commission plan.

    Cons

    Medical benefits could be better.
Would be nice to see more opportunities to advance into leadership roles inside the company.

I have been working at Mitchell Martin full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Not pros really to share.

    Cons

Environment plays to favorites, new people are really ousted. The environment is a war for your own clients, imagine now that not only are other companies your competitors but your own sales team also attacks your own account because of a rule "you own the hiring manager" not "the company"

People easily can manipulate the CEO for their own personal agendas. Fake people. If people do not like you, they will rid of you within 3 months.

    Body shop.

There are some recruiters that are excellent and can do much better in a better company.

Work/life is terrible, they would love for you to bang phones all day. The company overall needs a change in all methodologies.

    Advice to Management

There is no saving you. Change the environment and work/life balance. People are in the office constantly. Last time I checked, if you are in the office constantly and you are in sales, you are not doing your job right.
