I worked at Mitchell's Fish Market (Less than a year)

    Pros

Excellent money for the most part. Side work is easy, guests are generally easy to please. Flexible schedule, slower paced than a more casual restaurant.

    Cons

Management is horrible. Be prepared to be treated like a robot. Very corporate. NO TEAMWORK. It's eat or get eaten. Worst part about this place is the lack of teamwork.

    Advice to Management

Acknowledge a job well done. Point out the good, not just the bad .INCORPORATE TEAMWORK!!
    It's a win win win!

I worked at Mitchell's Fish Market (More than a year)

    Pros

    My coworkers were great
The money was good if you hustled and busted your butt to get hours and take tables.
Food and establishments was fresh and clean

    Cons

Insufficient general manager for the job
Illegally claimed over 3000$ in cash from me personally and various other employees

    Advice to Management

Hire people with actual restaurant management experience

    Pros

Decent wage for a cooking position

    Cons

Not enough hours in my experience, short shifts, usually get cut early

    Advice to Management

Distribute hours fairly, notice they allow some to waste time and others get kicked early

I have been working at Mitchell's Fish Market part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

As a server, the money here is pretty good, and the clients are a dream. Management is usually willing to help you through any problem but you need to be a good server to do really well here. Most of the money comes from return clients appreciating what you do for them.

    Cons

Incredible clients only go so far when they see changes in the prices of the menu and less things that servers can do to help you. Training process is the shortest that it's ever been resulting in most of the staff not knowing enough about the restaurant when they start out, which causes all of the servers there to question themselves months after being hired.

    Advice to Management

Work on it being a less corporate store, because it's painfully obvious and our guests are noticing.

I worked at Mitchell's Fish Market (Less than a year)

    Pros

Menu is pricey so you are able to up sale and make good tips, depending on your selling abilities

    Cons

Favoritism and long term employees get best sections

    Advice to Management

    Give everyone a chance

I have been working at Mitchell's Fish Market part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The people that I worked with we're very helpful (team oriented). The company it self is very organized for a restaurant. (I worked at multiple of restaurants and Mitchell's is the BEST restaurant that I've worked for) The food quality was very excellent, that is before McCormik's bought Mitchell's. If you are a hard worker, you get appreciated for it. The managers are always willing to work with you.

    Cons

There was some drama... but I seemed to stay out of it. Depending on your section, you could make less than $80 on the weekend especially because of the 3 table section. I did notice there was favoritism, but it never got to me. I just did what I was asked. If you were new, you got stuck working on the weekends, but that's where you make the most money anyways.

    Pros

Management works hard to accommodate personal schedules while meeting restaurant scheduling needs. Great group of people to work with.

    Cons

The Executive Chef is not highly trained or qualified.

I worked at Mitchell's Fish Market part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Upper class environment, responsive management, opportunity for advancement. I have worked as a server assistant for a few years and in general everything has been great. I recommend

    Cons

Sometimes management is disorganized. Also we get tipped out so sometimes it's hard know if the servers are giving you a fair share. But this is not on management, more on the other employees

    Advice to Management

Keep up incentives and having great management
