I have been working at Mitel Networks full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

So many things to learn. Mitel has a huge potential for future VOIP business customers. They have all the equipment and knowledge to capitalize in their field.

    Cons

Needs a management revamp. They tend to overlook the employees that have the loyalty and the willing to do what it takes to make the company grow. I feel they focus on employees that do not make a difference and are worried about quantity or quality of employees.

    Advice to Management

Adapt to the future of your business. Change is always good. Be more flexible with your star employees and value their feedback.

I have been working at Mitel Networks as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

They are becoming a leading edge VoIP solution. They grow through aquisition and seem to be able to integrate quickly. They definitely are a melting pot of talent.

    Cons

Constant change at the local upper management. Just as soon you get used to hearing or seeing a leadership voice or face, he's gone. You start to wonder what is really going on.

    Advice to Management

Please be stable and make yourself known to non executive or non management team.

I worked at Mitel Networks full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

While I was working there I loved the community sense. I loved how it felt like my team was a group of friends working together to solve problems. I loved how there were K-Cup coffee machines available to all who work there to use.
The company seems to be driven to help their customers and actually fulfill their needs.
The computers we used while not top of the line were actually very usable and served their purposes well. The phone systems however were on the other end of the spectrum and were extremely top notch and of very high quality.

    Cons

Some of the upper management seem to have no idea why an employee is being let go.
One of my managers told me why I was let go in a question like manner as like she never was told why I was being let go.
Resources available were not always 100% accurate or didn't have much instruction

    Advice to Management

Let your management know WHY you are ending an employee's contract rather than just

    Pros

Good Benefits, Excellent work to time off comparison, plenty of work if you want. Since laying off pretty much everyone stress levels have increased.

    Cons

Still after all these years there is a perception of getting laid off. Downsizing IMO has hurt the company as those left are leaned on more. Outsourcing while many companies are doing this only enforces the believe your time is coming. Company seems more concerned about buying other companies and saying they are a growing company making money. Top management is making the money, those in the trenches well.. no so much

    Advice to Management

Really wouldn't matter about any advice, they won't listen

    Pros

Some good people to work with

    Cons

Lack of clear vision, run from bottom up, understaffed

Cronyism, likes to hire people that have no experience in telecom and can smile.

    Advice to Management

Decide what you want to do and be consistent, stop re branding every 3 months it makes you look foolish.
