I have been working at Mitel Networks (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Smart and compassionate people seem to be abundant. Great people.

    Cons

Tumbling, company with no firm sense of direction. Holding on to old technology whilst grasping at straws for new technology. Making questionable decisions and concerned foremost with the shareholders and the Good Ol Boys. There's, quite honestly, a good chance that you'll get laid off at any given time, in a continual effort to balance the books and pay off debt.

    Advice to Management

I think you know and I doubt you care, Moneybags.

I worked at Mitel Networks full-time

    Pros

Flexible. Allowed work from home when required. Worked with some very smart individuals.

    Cons

Management couldn't make a decision. Egos at the executive table always got in the way of talent and agreeing on what was right for the business. Marketing seemingly bein moves exclusively to Dallas only. Whatever they say, goes.

    Advice to Management

Marketing management needs to get their act together!
Before you acquire more companies, integrate the recent acquisitions first and make sure you have the right people in the right seats on the bus. Right now you're a confused mess with your staff running circles.

    Pros

I just can't think if anything good to put for Pros for this company. Certainly not a place for millennials to work.

    Cons

Direction of the company constantly changes and lay-offs are a prominent way to control downturns in each quarter. Very much a good ole boys club.

I have been working at Mitel Networks full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I work with some great people who are smart, fun, and dedicated.

    Cons

Leadership/management make decisions that blow my mind. Laying off many long-time, loyal employees to replace them with workers in India, while leasing some of the most expensive North American office space. Acquiring other companies while struggling to clean up previous acquisitions that are still a mess. Divisions and geographic locations vary wildly in experience and philosophy. I'm often dumbfounded.

    Advice to Management

Give up the quick win strategy and start investing for long-term success. Value your people. Communicate clearly across locations and all the way down the chain. Be more transparent. Keep your promises.

I worked at Mitel Networks full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Mitel pays on time, most co-workers are friendly and give credit where due.

    Cons

Morale is low, management is poor a t giving feedback (good, bad, or indifferent)

I came from a company where we were empowered to do whatever it takes to service the customer to this place where everyone is given no decision making power until director level or above, and even then they're afraid of audit, legal teams.

Walk into the building and it is quiet and every e appears on egg shells.

    Advice to Management

Love things up, empower employees (even middle management) to be able to make decisions on their is without days worth of delays and red tape getting approval.

I worked at Mitel Networks full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I have never seen a team who always using slangs and takes everything personal. It's very unfortunate that I joined in Bangalore India location as a sr member of technical people. I have many excellent and talented people who were working in a older company under my leading. But it's very unfortunate that the manager abused and forced me to work under them. However, I will pray at got that they get trained for managerial role. I do not recommend to join in that organization.
The worst most finance guy in mitel I have never seen or heard a very cheap mentality and always in fighting mood and very unprofessional except director of finance.

    Cons

HRs are good. Excellent behavior of the facility manager.

    Advice to Management

Correct by training the manager and including higher level to whom they are reporting and need syco doctor specialized for counseling in every week for a year.
