I worked at Mitel Networks full-time

    Pros

Good pay, decent benefits. Some solid engineers.

    Cons

A lot of people still remain in the ex-Mavenir office with big titles who do absolutely nothing. The shrinking pool of actual engineers is increasingly overburdened with supporting the poorly engineered and largely untested Mavenir product line. Software quality is beyond terrible and the new slate of ex-Genband management has no clue whatsoever.

I have been working at Mitel Networks full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

So many things to learn. Mitel has a huge potential for future VOIP business customers. They have all the equipment and knowledge to capitalize in their field.

    Cons

Needs a management revamp. They tend to overlook the employees that have the loyalty and the willing to do what it takes to make the company grow. I feel they focus on employees that do not make a difference and are worried about quantity or quality of employees.

    Advice to Management

Adapt to the future of your business. Change is always good. Be more flexible with your star employees and value their feedback.

I worked at Mitel Networks full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Fun people to work with. Sometimes the company gives out small perks, and small bonuses happen at times. Individuals are awesome

    Cons

If you go into sales here, be prepared for a commission freeze every year while they "restructure", in the meantime you won't be paid your commission for 6 months or more. Be ready. The base is decent. A lot of cultural pieces need to change for such a big long standing company. Be about the customer in the culture, don't just preach it

    Advice to Management

Actually make changes to show us you are about the customer. The culture makes us frustrated and isolated and not thinking about the customer

I worked at Mitel Networks full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

While I was working there I loved the community sense. I loved how it felt like my team was a group of friends working together to solve problems. I loved how there were K-Cup coffee machines available to all who work there to use.
The company seems to be driven to help their customers and actually fulfill their needs.
The computers we used while not top of the line were actually very usable and served their purposes well. The phone systems however were on the other end of the spectrum and were extremely top notch and of very high quality.

    Cons

Some of the upper management seem to have no idea why an employee is being let go.
One of my managers told me why I was let go in a question like manner as like she never was told why I was being let go.
Resources available were not always 100% accurate or didn't have much instruction

    Advice to Management

Let your management know WHY you are ending an employee's contract rather than just

    Pros

The work itself is great. Assisting customers, speaking to the same customers multiple times, when their issues could be resolved, it was great!

    Cons

No recognition for good workers, worked for almost eight years; only one raise. Told by management that there had been raises available and doled out to those who deserved them, and that I was not one of those. Health insurance kept getting worse as time went on. The company laid off anyone who was making a decent living and then purchased other corporations with the money they saved by doing this.

    Advice to Management

Appreciate employee loyalty! Fight for your employees to have a living wage, and let them know when they are doing a good job.
