I worked at Moët Hennessy full-time

    Pros

World class portfolio of brands that you will be super proud to represent

    Cons

Very silo teams, very French mentality (no one can ever get an A on their report card no matter how hard you work and by how far you exceed your deliverables- quel dommage!)

    Advice to Management

Be more proactive about promoting from within

I worked at Moët Hennessy full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great brand portofolio but company success has been primarily been driven by one brand, Hennessy. Good hiring pool due to NY headquarter location. Great "travel income" as premium business incentive trips are available to many employees employees. Product samples. Event/Experiential Marketing a company strength.

    Cons

Corporate/Regional relationship has been dyfunctional for years. Company "churns" NY employees. Management does not "walk the walk" re: life/work balance. Career advancement very limited by organizational structure resulting in consistently high turnover rate. Maison micromanagement of US management creates overly competitive, distrustful, and constant "fire drill" enviornment.

    Advice to Management

HR should conduct mandatory exit interviews that perhaps would result in improved employee retention and improvement in chronic work/life balance issue and less frequent corporate finger pointing in all directions

I worked at Moët Hennessy full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Nice location. Competitive compensation. Great brands. Lot of perks, free product, travel. Opportunity to work on some interesting projects.

    Cons

Senior Management not in touch with staff, not supportive. No planning whatsoever. People learn to be selfish in order to meet their objectives, so teamwork is virtually nonexistent. No work/life balance.

    Advice to Management

Take a look at the rate of turnover and ask yourself why so many people leave, and then read the exit interviews to understand how you can retain talented people and make your organization healthier and more prosperous and competitive.

    Pros

Great experience in learning beverage industry up close and personal .met some really cool people while working for them.

    Cons

Leadership doesn't live the lifestyle of the nightlife the way you would think and trys to dictate what a minority consumer thinks by hiring ad agency that has no minorities or millenials

    Advice to Management

Pay more respect to your consumer base

    Pros

Great benefits. Good people throughout the organization. Great brands.

    Cons

Brands work in silos. Regions are very different.

    Advice to Management

SVP's are dramatically different. Most are on their game. Mid-level managers have too much of a voice - changing plans for their benefit. Micromanagement by some mid-level managers does not allow you to be successful.

    Pros

Great brands, product samples, benefits, President's Award

    Cons

    Work life balance is poor; antiquated processes; unskilled people working in certain positions; wasteful spending especially on the marketing side; not many strategic thinkers; No HR action taken on certain people in management who verbally abuse their workers;

    Advice to Management

More focus on recognizing people for their good work; take action on those managers who verbally abuse their workers; there's a reason why the retention rate is low.

    Cons

This position will never go permanent. they will keep you for 3 years+ with no benefits and then you will try to transition into something open but you wont have relevant experience.
