I have been working at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

They have very good benefits & great customer service in most departments. MIMC cares about the patients & it shows through their work.

    Cons

Mobile infirmary medical center do not have many opportunities for job advancement and it's hard to get a raise. The pay is average and there are no bonuses.

    Advice to Management

My advice to management is to dedicate time to your departments and interact with your workers. Be more hands on, and show that you appreciate their hard service to your facility. Offer bonuses and better pay.

    Pros

better pay than local hospitals, good benefits and 401K

    Cons

management is just concerned about bonuses, they send techs or nurses home to keep hours down, and management will keep you from leaving your unit if you try to transfer. They will write you up or block you in whatever way they can.

    Advice to Management

Keep scheduled staff and listen to employees about why they want to leave

I worked at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center (More than a year)

    Pros

Benefits were good and HR training for incoming employees was good. Starting hourly rate was 'okay'.

    Cons

RNs are chronically understaffed requiring high patient caseloads. The management seems overwhelmed. Manager of my floor seemed too busy with paperwork to offer much feedback or training. Nurses could support one another much more than they do.
