I worked at Mobileye full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Work is very interesting, both the algorithms and the fact that this is a real life saving product.
People are truly amazing, including middle management, both professionally and personally.
Very little interaction with senior management, which from what I've heard is nasty.

    Cons

Compensation is 20% lower for similar positions elsewhere.
HR can be downright nasty and inconsiderate - in theory the're trying to save some money, but it's really just a conservative attitude designed to cover their own mistakes, that ends up screwing over workers.

    Advice to Management

Get some approachable HR people and listen to your employees suggestions without threatening to fire them.

    I worked at Mobileye full-time

    Pros

Life saving technology at its best but company was not willing to invest in the aftermarket and mislead employees to bolster the company prior to going public

    Cons

Can't trust what management in US tells you, lack of direction, lack of investment lack of honesty stay away from US operations for sure

    Advice to Management

    Try being honest

"US Aftermarket Operation is a Disaster"

    Pros

Fantastic product that really works! Every vehicle should have one but they're too expensive for Aftermarket applications and the company really has no strategy for selling them in the US.

    Cons

Horrible backstabbing US operation w/ incompetent management (the lousy CEO left but his legacy lives on through a lackey he left behind). They haven't a clue how to sell in the Aftermarket and never will. There's a reason why most of the US sales force was either fired or quit on their own.

    Advice to Management

Concentrate on selling to Fleets (management there is very competent) and forget about selling through the Retail channel; particularly w/ the guy leading that division.

    I worked at Mobileye full-time

    Pros

The product is amazing and saves lives especially in this world of driver distraction.

    Cons

No leadership, no vision in the US aftermarket product. They are not willing to work with employee's or customers to make things better for all. So cheap and unorganized that your success and theirs won't happen.

    Advice to Management

Learn how to do business in the U.S., trust your employees and work with them to make you and them successful.

I have been working at Mobileye full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

A wide range of things to work on. A relatively flat company for its size, "low-ranking" people can be influential. Informal, fun atmosphere, not much "corporate culture" shoved down your throat.

Hard-working people with initiative are valued and given substantial autonomy. People who just want to do a job reasonably well get a job to do.

Most key people were promoted from within the company, especially from algorithm development. You can get similarly promoted, too.

    Cons

A fairly chaotic place. Not the place you want to learn management skills at. Compensation depends a bit too much on making an impression and negotiation skills, this might change with the recent Intel acquisition.

Stupid little things (falsely) scream "we don't value employees": small screens, parking shortage, missives in toilets about toilet paper use, etc. I advise to ignore these things - the people running the building are not the people running R&D.

Most key people were promoted from within the company, especially from algorithm development. This results in a degree of intellectual inbreeding, skewed towards algorithm development and away from other things.

    Advice to Management

Look a bit further into the future and plan ahead. Hire senior technical people from outside the company in addition to promoting from within.

I have been working at Mobileye full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

some of the most brilliant minds the industry. Very practical work mode.
    flexible working hours

    Cons

A little on the cheap side. Habitat is not comfortable. Stupid stuff like unclean bathrooms and very old and uncomfortable chairs.
One fun day a year - which starts afternoon and ends late in the evening!
    No much bonuses.

I worked at Mobileye full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Some of the most talented people I had pleasure of working with.
They are very reluctant to fire people.

    Cons

Lousy pay. Management does not care about employees; CEO loves to humiliate people who dare to ask inconvenient questions. QA department is (mis)managed by a lawyer.

    Advice to Management

Start respecting your employers; give them opportunities (talking to a wall)

I have been working at Mobileye full-time

    Pros

Great environment with smart and curious engineers. Good work-life balance and strong leadership. It's a great place to evolve as an algorithm developer.

    Cons

Sub-par perks and benefits. The offices could be improved. The transition between a small company and a big corporation could be improved.

    Advice to Management

Nothing much to say here. The biggest point is that the company should open a second development center if it wishes to sustain its rate of growth.

A nice Company to start to work at after school you learn a lot and nice people

    Cons

Employees are very under valued and the company is unorganized, everything is done last minute and you basically have to beg for a raise and the pay is below average compared to other high tech companies

    Advice to Management

Make your employees want to stay and work in the company, give positive feedback and raise when needed. Employees need a push and feel like they are wanted and valued
