I have been working at Modern Woodmen full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great Training, Unlimited Support from Managers and Home Office, Excellent Benefits, Advantageous Tax Status, Unlimited Compensation Potential, Great Starting Compensation Package, Negotiable Base Salary, Trailer/ Renewal Compensation, Advertising Budgets, Fundraising and Marketing Funds Given to Financial Reps, Minimal Office Rental Fee (Many Times $0), Helpful Administrative Staff, Compliance Department Handles All Government Agencies, Financial Solvency of Company, My Co-Workers Feel Like Family, Make Your Own Schedule, Fulfilling Work, Great Bank Program with Great Incentives for Bank Account Sales, Monthly and Quarterly Prizes, Company-Sponsored Trips in US and International Locations, Surprise Income from Various Sources

    Cons

Occasionally Want to Sell Other Life Insurance or Annuities (Not Often), Home Office Overly Complicates Some Tasks, Underwriting Department Occasionally a Massive Hindrance, Difficult Career to Start and Many Fail, Our Client Account Portals are Archaic

    Advice to Management

Completely revamp the underwriting department and knock some common sense into them. This is also true for many home office employees, as their actions frequently defy logic.

I have been working at Modern Woodmen full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great compensation for the amount of actual work that you are required to complete.

    Cons

I have never seen anyone held accountable for a lack of ability to meet job requirements, which translates into other employees having to pick up the slack. Overall hypocrisy from management.

    Pros

You meet a lot of people.

    Cons

No real help from management. You're totally on your own, and that can easily lead to having negative "unlimited income".

    Advice to Management

Management doesn't listen to advice, so I won't waste my time.

I worked at Modern Woodmen full-time

    Pros

Great people for the most part. Excellent Benefits for Financial Reps. Pretty fair commissions on products. Has cool community events for members & family (Policy Holders). Flexible schedule working hours (if you do not discipline yourself to work you wont make any money).

    Cons

Very old school lead generation which is done by talking to who you know already and mailers which Reps have to pay for (no one ever replies).

    Advice to Management

Teach your reps how to prospect a little better.
