I have been working at Moffatt & Nichol full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    Great people
    Decent pay
Open door policies Not too PC relaxed enough to enjoy work day to day
    Decent amount of PTO

    Cons

Company seems to hold on to higher C level employees even though they have track records of being poor leaders and overall noneffective. Meaning if we loose them no one would actually notice but the employees that they bully and hinder

    Advice to Management

Don't be afraid to let the figure heads go. You could save a bundle and keep the good talent before they get fed up enough leave.

I have been working at Moffatt & Nichol full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great work life balance which is rare for an engineering firm. Work schedule is flexible. You have a choice to work 4- 9hr days and 1 - 4hr day weeks. Also the projects are very challenging and rewarding. Every project is different so you will learn a lot and never get bored.

    Cons

They combine sick leave and vacation leave under PTO. It is okay, but not ideal. Also training can be improved.

    Advice to Management

Assign mentors to new and younger employees.
